About Sir William Wallace of Craigie, 2nd Baronet

Biographical Summary

"Sir William Wallace, Baronet [S 1670] of Craigie Wallace, 1st son and heir, succeeded to the Baronetcy, 26 March, and was served, 27 August 1680, heir to very extensive estates united with the Barony of Craigie. He was Col. of Horse (under 'Claverhouse') at Killiecrankie; served in Ireland in 1690, and was in France 1695. He married firstly, in 1682, Eupheme, daughter of William Fullarton of Fullarton, co. Ayr. She died s.p. He married secondly, Jean, daughter of William Menzies of Pitfoddels, co. Kincardine. He married thirdly, before 1698, Elizabeth, daughter of Andrew Wauchope, of Niddrie Marischal, co. Edinburgh. He died s.p.m., and was buried 25 January 1700, at Craigie."
