

Old Resident of County is Dead
Solomon H. Deal Had Lived in Oshtemo Township for About Forty Years.
Solomon H. Deal, for 40 years a resident of Oshtemo township, died at his farm residence at one o'clock Thursday morning after a long Illness. He was 82 years of age. He moved to Kalamazoo County in 1861 from New York state. During the 40 years he has lived in this county Mr. Deal has followed farming as a livelihood and has been moderately successful. He was well known throughout the county and leaves a wide circle of friends. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. George Wolf, of Alamo; a brother, Acy Deal, of Allenville, N. Y., and two foster-daughters, Mrs. John Boner, of Oshtemo township and Mrs. Lizzie Goff of Allegan. The funeral services will be held at the residence Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Rev. Arba Martin and Rev. D.C. Rheil officiating. Burial will be made at West Oshtemo cemetery. Kalamazoo Telegraph Press October 12, 1911 page 12
