About Reverend Spencer Baubeau / Bobo

Spencer Bobo, Jr., was born in 1728 in Culpepper County, Virginia, and.died on October 29, 1817 in Laurens County, South Carolina. He was the son of Spencer Bobo Sr. and wife Jane Wofford. He married Judith Foster of Spotsylvania County, Virginia.

The Bobo families lived for many years in the King William, Caroline, Orange, Culpepper, Albemarle and Prince William Counties of Virginia. In the 1770's many of the younger generation received land grants to settle in South Carolina. Spencer Jr. eventually followed his brothers south.
