• Identified as son of Julius and Grete (née Müller) Stein in Wolf
• There is as yet (September 2016) no entry for Stefan Stein in the German National Archives, Memorial Book, but his name is on the Deportation List of 10 May 1942 from Meiningen (with his mother and sister). His name is included in the Yad Vashem data base as follows: "Stefan Stein was born in Meiningen, Germany in 1924. He was a hilfsschlosser. Prior to WWII he lived in Meiningen, Germany. During the war he was in Meiningen, Germany.
  

Stefan was murdered in the Shoah.
