Stephen Kent was born by 24 May 1605, possibly a twin.
At age 32, he married first 10 August 1637 Margery Norris of Collingbrourne, Kingston, Wilsthire. She died in 1638 in Newbury, Massachusetts.
They emigrated in 1638 on the Confidence, initially settling in Newbury, Massachusetts where he was made freeman in 1639. By 1650, they lived in Haverhill where he was on multiple occasions fined or censured for giving or selling liquor to Indians.
He married second about 1641, Ann, maiden name unknown, who died 3 May 1660 in Haverhill.
He married third 29 May 1663 Elinor (Lougie?) widow of WIlliam Scadlock of West Saco, Maine
In the summer of 1669, he removed to Woodbridge, New Jersey. He received 249 acres there in 1670.

Savage:
STEPHEN KENT, of Newbury, brother of the first Richard Kent, came, says Coffin, 1635; but if so, he went home, and came again in 1638, on the sihp Confidence from Southampton, with wife Margery, and four or five servants.
In his case is observa. how readily the officers of the custom-house acquiesced in false statements to avoid the arbitrary orders of the Lords of Traae and Planta. for his age is marked 17, that of his wife 16, and George March, servant 16; beside Hugh March, 20; Anthony Sadler, 9; Nicholas Wallington, a poor boy, without any yrs.; and Rebecca Kent, 16, called servant. perhaps to increase the delusion.
He was older, probably for he was sworn a freeman 22 May 1639; had:
Elizabeth born 1 Mar. 1642, d. at 11 yrs.;
Hannah, 20 Mar. 1644;
Stephen, 6 Mar. 1648;
Rebecca, 3 Aug. 1650;
David, 26 May 1657; and Mary.
He had three wives: Ann, the second died 3 May 1660; and he married 9 May 1662, Eleanor, widow of William Scadlock of Saco; and rem. to Haverhill, thence to Woodbridge, N. J.
Hannah m. 19 Sept. 1669, Isaac Toppan, and d. 10 Dec. 1688;
Rebecca m. 12 Aug. 1667, John Farnham the first of Andover.
from RITZMAN:
"He immigrated twice to MA, in 1635 and 1638 aboard "Confidence" bringing niece Rebecca Kent. He lived near brother Richard in Newbury; moved to Haverhill in 1650; then to Woodbridge, NJ in 1669."
He came to Newbury, Massachusetts on the Ship "Confidence" in 1638 with his wife and four or five servants. He was made a freeman 22 May 1639. After his second marriage he moved to Haverhill, Massachusetts and later to Woodbridge, New Jersey.
