Son of Richard and Louisa (Crab) Olmsted. His father Richard, died at age 28 and his mother remarried to P. S. Prentice. Brother of Richard Olmsted. Husband of Elizabeth James. Fought in the civil war.

No dates on stone. Crown Hill lists 2 Stephen H. Olmsteds, but I am leaning towards there only being one? And I believe he died in 1904 and not 1889 like the 2nd one says. I believe that is another person.

Interred May 22, 1904.
