Brief overview:
Stephina (50), a farm-stall owner of Rooipoort farm, outside Potgietersrus, was found murdered with her throat cut from ear to ear on 7th January 2009. The 30 year old perpetrator pretended to be a customer. Police arrested the man after residents came across her bloodied corpse next to the farm-stall. The man fled with an unknown, small amount of cash.
Farm worker, Ephraim Seanego (30), from Polar Park, was arrested for the murder of his colleague Stephina from Gamadida village. He appeared briefly in the Mokopane Magistrate's Court for murder "A colleague saw the murder on a surveillance camera and called his boss," said Mokopane Constable Mmadikgtale Nkomo. The supervisor called the man in and then alerted the police. "The suspect didn't know about the video so he stayed in the office until the police came to arrest him," said Nkomo. The motive for the killing has not been established yet. He has been remanded in custody and will appear again on February 5.
