Susan Armstrong Flight (1952 - 2012)
Brief overview:
Susan (60), a free-lance accountant, was found murdered in the bedroom of her Darling, Western Cape home, by her domestic worker on 24th November 2012.
When Susan's helper arrived she saw flies in the bedroom and sprayed them, then discovered her decomposing body. Police believe bandages were used to strangle her.
Two laptops, a camera, two cellphones and a DVD player had been stolen.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Johan Horn said due to the quick-wittedness of a resident, a 29-year-old suspect who had tried to draw money from her account at an ATM in Darling was arrested on Monday after the card was swallowed. He said the suspect had been released from jail about a month ago after serving time for a previous conviction.
