Susan Maria Cave

The marriage of Susan Ellis to Joseph Henry Cave is based on the following evidence: In the 1871 census, Martha Ellis is found a a Laundress and heading a household containing her daughter Elizabeth Ellis and her grand daughter named Isabella Cave, aged 6. (Note, the census entries are hard to find because the Ellis name has been poorly transcribed either as Elliss or Elliso) An index search found a Joseph Henry Cave married a Susan Ellis registered at Lewisham in 1865. Presumably this is Matha's daughter Susan Maria Ellis. Sadly, an Isabella Elizabeth Cave is indexed as dying in 1877 registered at Lewisham.
