Susan E. Cox

The 1870 census shows Susan, age 19, living in the household of Thomas Maddox, a shoemaker, age 60. Thomas was her first cousin, once-removed (common ancestor, Henry Miles Sr. 1728-1790), and was probably her guardian then. She married George A. Cox 18 May 1880. In addition to having lost a daughter, Imogen in Sept. 1883, Susan also had a miscarriage the next year, on 22 June 1884.
