Susan Frazier

Additional Curator's Notes

Susan McBrayer, born in Kentucky and Susannah McBriar, born in Virginia, have long thought to be the same person by family genealogists, and both are listed as the wife of William B. Frazier. These were two different women from two different families.

• Susannah McBriar, daughter of Solomon McBriar and Nancie Elkins, was born in 1808 in Scott County, Virginia.
• Susan McBrayer, daughter of Ichabod McBriar and Mary Stratton, was born in 1806 in Floyd County, Kentucky.

Based on information found on three different census reports, where the wife of William Frazier gave her place of birth as Kentucky, this curator believes that Susan, daughter of Ichabod, is the true wife of William Frazier.
