Mrs. Ellsworth Maxton
Susan, wife of Ellsworth Maxton, of 122 Price street, passed away in the Chester County Hospital on the sixth-day, at 11:45 a.m., in her 81st year.
After several years of failing health she fell and suffered a broken hip, since which time she had been confined to the hospital.
She was a daughter of the late Jacob and Leah Ann Moore, of Christiana, and was a lifelong member of the Society of Friend's.
On May 30th, 1890, she became the wife of Ellsworth Maxton, and in May of last year, the couple enjoyed the celebration of their fiftieth wedding anniversary.
Mrs. Maxton was a woman of quiet, modest character, and a most dutiful wife and mother.
She is survived by her husband, one son, Norman G., of Lionville and two grandchildren, Ellsworth C., United States Army, and Sara C., at home. A grandson, Roger C. is deceased. There are two step-grandchildren, Joseph M. Aichholz, of Kimberton, and Mrs. Lynwood Littlefield, of Boston.
Two sisters survive, Phoebe R. Moore, of Philadelphia, and Mrs. John E. Cunningham, of Parkesburg.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral at her late residence, 122 Price St., on 2d-day, 3d-mo. 17th, at 2 o'clock p.m. Interment at Greenmount Cemetery. Friends may call 1st-day evening from 7 to 8.
