Susan Innes was the daughter of Alexander Innes of Pitmedden.1 She married, firstly, John Ramsay of Barra, son of John Ramsay of Barra and Mary Ramsay, on 15 February 1831.1 She married, secondly, Captain William Henry Nares on 24 October 1844.1 She died on 5 August 1887.1

From 15 February 1831, her married name became Ramsay.1 From 24 October 1844, her married name became Nares.1
