First generation is Samuel SNEAD and Alice; they had three children (second generation)
(1) Samuel who appears on the Pamunkey River 1664 as a neighbor of Wm. BASSETT;
(2) William b. 1630; and
(3) Susan who married by 1652 Thomas REYNOLDS.
Susan proposes that this Thomas and Susan (Snead) REYNOLDS had a son Thomas who was father of Elizabeth Reynolds who married Charles "M" MOORMAN (himself father of Thomas MOORMAN who married Rachel CLARK.) [Dick apparently found the Susan Snead marriage to Thomas Renalls by 1652 in _The Sneads in Fluvanna County_. I've asked for specifics <grin> Thus, without reading my REYNOLDS update, Susan came up with the same _probable_ father of Elizabeth that I did AND added yet another generation! Needless to say, this differs from Tillman's REYNOLDS genealogy and the general MOORMAN legend. LSS]
Susan, writing about earlier family connections with "our" bunch:
"Susan Sneed who wed Thomas Renalls also becomes an integral figure. Note that the daughter of Capt. Christopher Clark and Penelope Johnson -- Rachel "M" born in 1714 married as her first husband Thomas Moorman in 1729/30. Thomas Moorman was the son of Charles and Elizabeth (Reynolds) Moorman. Bet this Elizabeth Reynolds is a descendant of Susan (Sneed) Renalls and her son is named after Susan's husband, Thomas Renalls.
