   Susan KENT BERRY was born in England October 25, 1850 and died June 25, 1927,  on the farm where she had lived over half a century.  She was married to J. P. BERRY  April 2, 1868. to this union were born five children, Mrs. Ella SPANGLER, Clara and  Opal of Blakesburg, W. J. of Shelbyville, Mo., and J. H. of Clarence Mo.  Surviving are  the five children, thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren, one brother, Will  KENT of Boradus, Montana, and one sister, Mrs. Mary WELLMAN of Ottumwa.  Her  husband preceeded her in death 25 years ago.  She lived a devoted chirstian life for almost  60 years, being a charter member of the Russel Chapel church.  She was a kind and loyal  neighbor, always ready to help in sickness and time of need.  Funeral services were held at  the Russel Chapel Church Monday afternoon, conducted by Orval WALKER after which  the body was laid to rest in the WELLMAN cemetery.
