Some believe that she is buried in the Old Stone Church cemetery - there is no memorial indicating that she was buried there. Many of her children are buried there. If she was buried there, I believe that her descendants would have made sure that her memorial was cared for and thus would have been preserved. Given that the Bowman Family p.19 (1886) does not give a death date (only month Sep and year 1816) - her memorial may not have been available in 1886 though it states that she "was buried in the grounds connected with the old stone church, and a suitable tomb-stone with inscription marks her grave". This memorial was not recorded by the WPA and is not shown on the early drawing showing burials in the cemetery (that is framed in the church).
