She was the 2nd wife of Col. Lawrence Slaughter, he married her after the death of his first wife Elizabeth Slaughter (Field) . Note: Many online ancestry trees and genealogies have confused Susannah with his first wife, Elizabeth, Suzannah's last name was Winston, not Field.
