Daughter of Jasper and Fannie (Huff) Voyles, she was born in Pekin Indiana, the 3rd of ten children. She married Casper in 1925 and they raised 3 sons in addition to owning and operating Rudder Tire Company in Salem. They were married 58 years before he passed in 1983. She lived to be 90 years of age.
