It was rumored that the original birth certificate was a different month and name that she was raised to believe. When Susie was old enough and already married to George. She went and had the name she knew and grew up with to be hers and the birthdate changed legally. This is where the "Sophia" and Susie names are confused.so what we know to be the posted birthdate and name is what she changed it to be...it was Rumored that the name she was given at birth was "Sophia"..we are guessing her parents always called her "Susie".

Susie Kuizinas Dies Wednesday, Service Saturday

Funeral Services will be held in Clinton for Mrs. Susie Kuizinas, 68, of Decatur, Ill., who died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Hospital there. Rev. James Shanahan will officiate at funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Frist Funeral Home and burial will be in the Riverside cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until time for services.

Leaving Clinton in 1938, Mrs. Kuizinas resided at 1241 East Cantrell Street in Decatur. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clinton.

Survivors include her husband, George; four sons, Edward, Walter and John, all of Decatur; and William of San Francisco; a daughter, Mrs. Martha Shinall of Decatur, 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Walter Norkus off Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Kalina and Mrs. Helen Morsinek, both of Cleveland, Ohio.
