About Swithin Chandler
Swithin Chandler, Jr. was born October 1, 1715 in the Delaware Bay area. He was the 6th of 12 children of Swithin and Ann Chandler. When he was 24 he married 19-year-old Ann Wilson, the daughter of Christopher Wilson, a well-known Quaker minister of Delaware. Swithin Jr. and Ann Wilson Chandler resided in Christiana Hundred, Delaware and raised 8 children there. Their children were probably raised as Quakers.
