About Syed Shah Inayat Ali of Bansa

Syed Shah Inayat Ali was a direct descendent of Syed Abdul Razzaq (1636-1724) of Bansa Sharif, one of the most important Sufi Saints of North India and through him of the great Amir Kulal (Shams ud Din Kulal ) of Bukhara, Amir Timur's spiritual mentor. Timur, in fact, is buried in the shrine of this renowned Sufi Saint's Grandfather, a large number of Timur’s family members are also buried at the same place.Amir Kulal died in 772/1370. His tomb was completed by 1374 AD under the orders of Timur. Amir Kulal’s descendants moved to India with Mughals and continued to enjoy an influence in the Mughal dynasty [2]. Many of his descendants remained as teachers and mentors of Mughal Princes and Kings or their close friends. [2}Source : Ain-i-Akbari
