Lowther's 1911 History of Ritchie County, WV gives her date of birth as September 1782 and her sister Joanna's date of birth as August 4, 1782 and assumed they were twins. The year 1781 was entered as her birth date since she was married in 1802 and 1781 would have made her age 21 at marriage.
