About Te Waru
Paramount chief of Ngāi Te Rangi, Tauranga. Succeeded by his son Hori Tupāea in the 1830s. Whakapapa of Hori Tupaea given by his son Akuhata Tupaea before Commissioner Branbant in 1881.
