Kaumoenga (b.1814 Okoki): "Kaumoenga came as a mere child with her parents and lived at Pipitea Pa[Wellington]. About 1830 married Reed and lived with him at various places, Cloudy Bay and Queen Charlotte Sound - joined a whaling ship, 'Cheviot', Capt Bateman who married them and for a time lived at Sunday Island, where children born. They returned to New Zealand 1845, and Rev Churton then married them and christened their children. They lived at Stokes Point where Reed and his wife died."
