She is the mother of Tabitha Bangs, Ellice (Bangs) Merrick, Hannah Bangs, Lemuel Bangs, Lydia (Bangs) Lombard, Joseph Bangs Jr, Jonathan Bangs, Heman Bangs, Heman Bangs and Thankful Bangs

Biography

Thankful Hamblen was born August 6, 1715, the daughter of Ebenezer and Thankful Hamblen/Hamlen/Hamlin of Barnstable, Massachusetts[1] [2]

On September 18, 1735, she married Joseph Bangs, son of Samuel Bangs and Mary Hinkley of Harwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts[3] [4]

Alice (Ellice) born circa 1737[7] [8] , who married Barnabas Merrick[9]

Hannah, born June 21, 1738[7] [8] [5]

Lemuel, born December 31, 1739[7] [8] [5], who married Hannah Hall

Lydia, born October 5, 1741[7] [8] [5], who married Richard Lombard

Joseph Jr, born April 1, 1743[7] [8] [6], who emigrated to Liverpool NS, where he married Mary Pitts and then Lydia Gorham

Jonathan, born November 5, 1744[7][8] [6]

Heman, born Feb 20, 1747[7] [8] [6], who married Mary Wood

Thankful, born May 12, 1751[7] [8] [6]

According to these sources, she died after 1768.

Thankful Hamblen, sister of Gershom, born in Barnstable August 6, 1715. Married, September 18, 1735, Joseph Bangs, of Harwich, Massachusetts.

She was named in the will of her brother Nathan, dated July 29, 1768, as legatee; from which it was supposed she was then living.'[10] Sources
