Director of music & organist to Queen Charlotte & George III at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.1788 - 1801.

Composer with William Boyce. Composed various Anthems.

Organised Handel's funeral at Westminster Abbey.

Died at Windsor Castle where he is buried. There is a memorial plaque in St Georges Chapel.(in the Ros chapel)

Previously organist, Oxford Chapel. Oxford, 1760, St Lawrence, Jewry, London,1762, St Michaels, Cornhill, London 1768

The Master of the King's Music, William Boyce, played at St Michael's for thirty-two years, to be succeeded by Theodore Aylward .
