About Thomas Edward Allen
Thomas Edward Allen also known as Tom and Ted, lost his father very early and took responsibility for his family. He moved to England. He was shot in the right bicep, right chest and left thigh, bayoneted in the right side of his abdomen, and gassed in WW1. He survived one night in the open after the first day at Loos. By 1917 he was fit enough to go on a USA tour promoting War Bonds. Retired as a senior Tax Inspector for London.
