Thomas Bern Beck

In the 1850 US Census for Tishimingo, Mississippi Thos B. Beck, age 2, is found in Jeffery Beck's household. In this census it indicates that Thomas was born in Georgia. In all subsequent censuses he is listed as being born in Mississippi.

In 1860, Thomas B. Beck, age 12, is found living with his parents in the Centersville TWP of Tishimingo Co., Mississippi. He attended school during the year preceeding the census.

In 1870, he is living with his mother in Decatur, Illinois near his older brother, Jeffery. They were both working as farmhands.

In 1880, Thomas is living with his mother in Bethlahem, Missouri. He was single and working on a farm.

In 1900, Thomas B. Beck, then age 52, was liviing in Shoshone, Lincoln Co., Idaho with his wife, Mary F. Beck, and two sons, Theodore age 8, and Commodore age 2. Mary had borne two other children that did not survive. Thomas was making his living as a barber.

By 1910, the Becks were living in the Lake Precinct of Harvey Co., Oregon. Thomas was then 62 years old and working as a farmer. His wife was 21 years younger than he. They had 3 young girls in addition to the two older boys.
