"Thomas Blanton went to Kentucky in 1786, settled on a farmsouth of Frankfort, on the Versailles Road. The homeplace walater occupied by his son John, whose estate was settled in1811, and later still by John's son Willis Blanton (1798VA-1859Ky). The home was on a hill overlooking all of the hill thatsurround Frankfort, Kentucky. It is in full site of the oldGrassy Springs Church and the nearby cemetery."The spring in front of his house was designated on an early manpas"Blanton's Big Boiling Spring." Text: page 78
