"Thomas Butterfield, a prominent citizen of Ovenden, who was buried at Halifax on 16 September 1614. Thomas Butterfield, "a man of most religious life blameless in the Church," made his will on 4 September 1614. It was proved 3 July 1615."

Thomas Butterfield's will of 4 Sept 1614 was proved 3 Jul 1615. He stated in the will that his wife was with child.
