Thomas J. Dreiling

Thomas Dreiling, 75, Victoria, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at his home.

He was born Nov. 27, 1940, in Hays to Alphonse and Sophie (Sander) Dreiling.

He married Jeanette (Kippes) on June 15, 1965.

He was a 1959 graduate of Victoria High School and attended Fort Hays State University. He was a member of the Basilica of St. Fidelis Church and Victoria Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed his family and attending his grandchildren's sporting activities.

Survivors include a son, Scott T. Dreiling and wife, Jennifer, Olathe; two daughters, Dana S. Lang and husband, Daren, Victoria, and Shana M. Gatschet and husband, Michael, Goddard; Jeanette Dreiling, Victoria; three brothers, Marvin O. Dreiling and wife, Dorothy, Hays, Charles Dreiling, Victoria, and James Dreiling, Parker, Colo.; two sisters, Lucy Roth and husband, Robert, Wichita, and Theresa Ellis and husband, Clark, Lafayette, Colo.; a brother-in-law, William Dell, Littleton, Colo.; a sister-in-law, Mary Frances Dreiling, Hays

Seven grandchildren, Taylor Lang and wife, Danielle, Joslyn Lang and fiancé, Cole Hanna, Katelyn Lang, Cade and Braden Gatschet, and Nathan and Grace Dreiling; and a great-grandchild, Jentrie Catherine Lang.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Elmer J. Dreiling, Hubert Dreiling and wife, Clemie, and Alfred J. Dreiling and wife, Myrna; and three sisters, Lorraine Bird and husband, Bill, Mary Ellen Dell and her first husband, Parnell Quinn, Ruth Stephens and husband, Don; and a sister-in-law, Lynda Dreiling.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria; burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from noon to 1:45 p.m. Friday, both at Clines Mortuary, 412 Main, Victoria, KS 67671. A Class of 1959 rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, a vigil at 7 p.m., followed by a Victoria Daughters of Isabella rosary, all at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to the Basilica of St. Fidelis in care of the mortuary.
