Thomas Ewing

Thomas Ewing was born around 1787 near Gobnascale, County Donegal. He married - we are not sure whether this was in Ireland or in Georgia, and brought two children into this world. But he died in 1812 leaving them orphans, somewhere in Georgia.

Naming of the children (first born was "Willis", which is usually in the South equivalent to "William") suggests that Thomas was the son of William. Furthermore, DNA relationships of his descendants tie him into the same close family of James Ewing and Mary Diagley that emigrated to Philadelphia by 1863.
