Thomas, still single, lived in Hilderstone at the time of the 1911 census. On the same census, James his brother is lodging in Hanley. James died in 1925 and in his will he left a house in Hilderstone. If Thomas did indeed die in 1921, perhaps he left the house to James which supports his death being prior to 1925. A possible explanation for the death of Thomas in Stafford District is that perhaps he was in Stafford Hospital at the time of his death. The publication of the 1921 census may help further.
