THOMAS ALEXANDER LONG
Dies at His Home in Carey Sunday Morning
Thomas Alexander Long died Sunday morning, at 5:30 o'clock, at his home, in Carey. His death resulted from an illness since Friday morning, with stomach trouble. Deceased was born in Fairfield county, and had attained the age of 66 years, 10 months and 15 days. He is survived by his wife, who was formerly Mahala Hotelling, and one sister, Mrs. Charles Hotelling, and one sister, Mrs. Charles Hotelling, residing five miles west of Carey, residing five miles west of Carey. Mr. Long resided on the Frank Ogg farm, south of Carey, for some time before moving to Carey ten years ago. He was a member of the Grand Army at Carey, having served with the Eightyfifth Ohio regiment in the civil war. Funeral services over the remains will be held Tuesday afternoon, at 1:30 o'clock, from the Carey Evangelical church, conducted by the pastor. Rev. P. G, De Vaux. Interment in Spring Grove cemetery.
