Thomas (Tom) Morrill was born in Glendale, California. He was a biologist, writer, teacher, and naturalist who lived most of his life in Tallahassee Florida. His love and excitement of the natural Earth and Heavens knew no bounds. He was a volunteer Poet in the Schools, and encouraged many Tallahassee children to begin writing and expressing from their hearts. Tom shared his knowledge and reverence for nature with people of all ages, from his family, school groups, a Governor of Florida, walkers in Sweetbay Swamp, and fishermen he met in the the Apalachicola National Forest. With his wife, Sarah, my mother, he gave our family the privilege of a childhood with pet milk goats, Betsy the cow, Bunny the burro, rabbits, pig, chickens, golden pheasants, geese and more.
