Notes for THOMAS NEELY, Jr.: Date of birth from Revolutionary War record

Information in Neely Slave Cemetery published in Charlotte says Thomas arrived in the area in 1754. This makes sense because he was missing from the Bond hearings when his father died in PA in 1756.

It is assumed he is buried in Steele Creek Presbyterian churchyard because that is where his wife is buried. It is presumed that his is one of the several old gravestones that fell over and were lost. There is no marker by his wife who died in 1785.
