Thomas Post, son of Stephen and Ellen Post, was baptized 01 Nov 1631 in Kent, England. [1]

Thomas and his brother John were "Accepted to be made free, according to order of the [Colony] court" 8 Oct 1663.[2] John and Thomas, sons of Stephen Post, were among the first settlers of Norwich, Connecticut. [3] Thomas married Mary Andrews in January, 1656, she died at Norwich in March, 1661, and was buried in a corner of her husband's home-lot. She left an infant daughter, Sarah, afterward the wife of Thomas Vincent. Thomas married, 2d, Rebecca Bruen, daughter of Obadiah Bruen of New London, Sept. 2, 1663. He died in 1701, leaving two sons, Obadiah and Joseph, and two daughters, Mary and Hannah. Obadiah died in 1703, without issue. The daughters died at the age of 70 and upward, Joseph, born in 1681, married Mary Post of Saybrook, and died in 1749, leaving an only son, Joseph, and seven daughters.[4]


Thomas married Mary Andrews in January, 1656, she died at Norwich in March, 1661, and was buried in a corner of her husband's home-lot.

5653. Rebecca Bruen. Born say 1640. Rebecca died in Norwich, CT on 15 Apr 1721.

In Sep 1663 Rebecca married Thomas Post, son of Stephen Post (ca 1596-16 Aug 1659) & Ellen Panton (-13 Nov 1670), in Saybrook, CT. Born ca 1631 in Otham, Kent. Thomas was baptized in Otham, Kent, on 1 Nov 1631. Thomas died in Norwich, CT on 5 Sep 1701.

Thomas first married Mary Andrews, second Rebecca Bruen.
