T. H. Prior, Businessman

Thomas H. Prior, 80, of 1214 Riverside Avenue, died Monday at Morris Hall Rehabilitation Center.

A lifelong resident of Trenton, he attended Rider, Moore and Sewart School of Business and became associated with his brother, Alfred, in 1910 in the operation of Prior Typewriter Company.

He was chairman of the board when he retired in July, 1973.

Mr. Prior was a member of Column Lodge 120, F and Am; Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Scottish Rite, Crescent Temple and Yardley Country Club.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Backes Prior, two sons, John B. and Thomas H. Jr., both of Trenton; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth E. Eib of Trenton and Mrs. Virginia P. Friel of Cornwells Heights, Pa., sister, Miss Grace B. Prior of Trenton; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held Wednesday morning at Ivins and Taylor with the Rev. G. Douglas Davies of Prospect Street Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
