Mr. Thomas S. Best, the oldest resident of Dural, died suddenly on Sunday last at his residence.

Mr. Bowden, the Parramatta Coroner, was informed of the event, and of the fact that deceased had been treated for heart disease by Dr. Brown, and under the circumstances dispensed with an inquest. Mr. Best was 72 years of age, and leaves a large family, all occupying good positions and being highly respected in the district.
Deceased had a fund of information about the rise and progress of Dural.
