Thomas Maas Samuel Swartwout (born 1660 in Albany "Beverswyck", New York, died April 3, 1749 in Maghaghkemeck, Orange NY) was famous as one of the earliest settlers of the Delaware River Valley, early landowner of America, a holder of the Pennpack (Minisink) Magheckemeck land patent, and a founder of Deerpark, Orange County, NY.

Thomas Swartwout was born about 1659 at Beverwyck, New Netherland[4] and baptized May 11, 1660. He married Lysbet Gardenier before February 6, 1683 in New York. He died about 1723 at Machackemeck, Orange, New York.
