In October 1872, Timothy was present at the death of his mother in Togherstown
Married Ellen in 1881 in Argentina. There is an impression that the Ledwiths went to Argentina first and Timothy, who was already in some relationship to Ellen, followed them there. It would explain the fact that he emigrated although he was the eldest.
on the website "Irish settlers in Argentina"http://www.irlandeses.org/set07.htm, it shows Timothy, born 1852, married Ledwith 1881, died 1900.
Married in Salto Argentina, had children.
I have made contact with Patricio Fay in Argentina who wrote the following:
"My grand grand father was Timothy Fay, and was married to Ellen Ledwith, and they lived in Salto. My grandpa, Bernard Fay, their son, was born in Salto in 1892. Timothy and Ellen had 7 children. I know that Timothy and Ellen came from Westmeath in Ireland, but I do not know exactly from where. And I think that Timothy´s mother last name was Wheeler, but I am not fully sure.Last year I visited Dublin. How nice to visit my family´s land!
Patricio Fay"
Mention in letter 1893 of 3 boys going to school, so what age would they be?
