When Timothy Powers was born on January 5, 1750, in Connecticut, his father, Jonas, was 30 and his mother, Mary, was 33. He married Elizabeth Gilbert on October 29, 1772, in Middletown, Connecticut. He died in 1841 in Albany, New York, at the impressive age of 91.
