About Tofazul Ali
When all of the youngsters from Deulgram first arrived here, this old man was their root, he would work diligently through his shifts at British Rail and then off he went home. But his home was the base for all these young men who had left Bangladesh.
He was their father, their mother all in one. He made sure they were provided for financially and would help where he can. He would make sure that there was food for any of them so that they did not go to other peoples houses. He would look out for them all. It is thank's to his shelter that all of us especially those related on the paternal side are where we are.
Without him our uncles would have had hardship and loneliness and would not have had the link back home. He helped them however he could to find their feet in this lonely land and for that all of us in the UK need to be thankful and remember him in our prayers.
When his nephews would come around he would try and give them pocket money, even people like Hokoi Mama (Netha's Dad) got pocket money from him.
