Alfred Kent was the son of Alfred and Abigail Kent, Gate Pa, Tauranga. Native of Oxford, England. Volunteered active service, August, 1914. Embarked Auckland, 16 October 1914; disembarked Alexandria, 4 December 1914. Killed in action, 8 August 1915.
