Already ill, he drank from a well poisoned by embittered Saxons, and he, along with hundred others after him, died.1,7 . As soon as the King's death was divulged, the bishops and clergy of the kingdom assembled, and carried his body to the convent of Ambrius, where they buried it with regal solemnity, close by Aurelius Ambrosius, within the Giant's Dance.7
