Verna J. Troyer

Verna J. Troyer, 95, of 11293 Salt Creek Road, Fredericksburg, died Saturday, July 7, 2012 at her home following a period of declining health.

She was born in Holmes County on July 14, 1916 to the late Joe E. and Bena (Gingerich) Kline and married Ben D. Troyer on Dec. 15, 1941. He died Sept. 25, 1979.

She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Edna Troyer of the home; a sister, Alma (Eli) Hershberger of Berlin and a brother, Sam Kline of Elizabeth.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ira.

Funeral services were held on Monday, July 9 at the family home with Bishop Levi Weaver officiating. Burial was in the Petersheim Cemetery in Salt Creek Township, Wayne County.

Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton handled the arrangements.
