About Veronica Alexandra Golden Osborn Boudier (Lawes) : She was born in Golden which is a small place on the Canadian Pacific Railway from Field towards Vancouver .She had seven names altogether, but her family cannot remember them all. Sometimes, she was called Sally. . She married George Alfred Alexander Boudier in 1923 in Field & they might have had their honeymoon in Calgary over the Rocky Mountains as her husband, George Alfred Alexander Boudier worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway, being based in Field .Her eldest son was born in Alberta, Canada but her other children were born in Field, a small place near Revelstoke in the Rocky Mountains. Veronica's parents George William Lawes & Ellen Maria Lawes were living on a farm in Field until 1931, when they moved to Vancouver, probably for heath reasons. Then, George & Veronica Boudier lived on one side of a duplex house in Field with Simona & Lewis Norman living next door. The Boudiers had a large family of five children, three sons & two daughters & so there were many grandchildren to play together with their cousins next door. Veronica Boudier died in 1983 in Kamloops, a place on the railway line towards the Rocky Mountains and Calgary. In South Africa there are some people with a double barrelled name Boudier-Botha, the first name sounds as if they might have been French Huguenots
