Princeton Post, June 5, 1913, pg. 1 "DIED IN ST. JOSEPH. – Verr Larason Passes Away After an Operation for Appendictis. Verr Larason, nineteen year old son of Mr. and Mrs. George Larason of Lindley township, died at the Sisters Hospital in St. Joseph, Monday night, three days after an operation had been performed for appendicitis. He was taken to that city by his parents last Thursday. He had then been complaining only two days, but when the operation was performed Friday, the surgeons found him in a very bad condition and they had little hopes of his recovery. His parents were with him when he died. The body was brought here Tuesday. It was taken to the Goshen cemetery Wednesday for interment. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Fanning and Rev. Wesley Cater. A large number of sorrowing relative and friends were there. Verr Larason was born in Lindly township, this county, March 27, 1894, being 19 years, 2 months and 5 days old at the time of his death. His life was spent at the home of his parents on the farm. He was a model young man, loved and respected by all, and he leaves a large circle of friends who deeply mourn his death. Besides the parents, he is survived by three brothers and one sister – Elmer Larason and Dora Newman of Fargo, Okla., George and Robert Larason of this county. The entire community extends sincere sympathy to the bereaved family."
