Mrs. Charles McGhee

  Mrs. Versa O. McGhee, 66, of 330 S. Ransom, died at Ottumwa Hospital to day at 12:55 a.m. folling a four-month illness.  She had been a reside nt of Ottumwa for the past 49 years.

  Born July 9, 1902, in Davis County, she was the daughter of A.M. and Bertha Spohn Strickland.  She was a member of the Floris Christian Church.

  Her marriage to Charles M. McGhee took place September 5, 1925, in Ottumwa.  He survives.  Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Betty De Hart and Mrs. Bonnie Alexander, both of Ottumwa;  four grandchildren; two sister s, Mrs. Vesta Greiner of Bloomfield, Route 9 and Mrs. Alice Hughes of Eldon;  and one brother, Leonard Strickland of Prescott, Arizona.  An infant brother and one great grandson preceded her in death.

  Services will be Monday at 3 pm at Johnson Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Milton Early of the Church of the Brethren.
