He was born with older brothers already named after both of their grandfathers. There was another older brother named for their father that had already died as a baby when Victor was born so it is surprising that Victor was not named Salvatore after their father in his place. They later named their next son Salvatore
Victor married Lorraine Flobeck. Together they had the following children: Victor William Rizzo.
He died on July 21, 1999 in Dunedin, Pinellas County, Florida, United States and was buried on July 26, 1999 in St Joseph Cemetery & Mausoleums (Section AA, Lot 7, Block 6, Grave 5), River Grove, Cook County, Illinois, United States.
